For a 90-day stay in the Czech Republic, you need a Short-Term Schengen Visa for tourism purposes.

2. Preparing Your Documents

  • Must be valid for at least 3 months after your planned departure date.
  • Must have at least two blank pages.
  • Two recent passport-sized photos meeting Schengen visa standards (35x45mm, neutral background, no shadows, and full face visible).
  • Coverage of at least €30,000 for medical expenses and emergencies throughout the Schengen area.
  • Hotel booking confirmation or an invitation letter from your host in the Czech Republic.
  • Proof of a round-trip flight reservation or travel itinerary showing your intended entry and exit dates.
  • Recent bank statements or equivalent documents showing sufficient funds to cover your expenses during the trip. The general guideline is around €50–€60 per day of stay.

3. Submitting Your Application

  • You can apply up to 6 months before your planned trip.

  • The standard fee for a Schengen visa is €80.
  • Children aged 6–12: €40.
  • Fees are non-refundable, even if the visa is denied.
  • The visa application is usually processed within 15 calendar days, but in some cases, it can take up to 30 or 60 days, depending on individual circumstances.
